Walter J. Molofsky, MD is the Chief of Pediatric Neurology at Beth Israel Medical Center and the Associate Chairman of Neurology at the Hyman-Newman Institute for Neurology and Neurosurgery at Beth Israel Medical Center and St. Luke’s and Roosevelt Hospital Center.   A Medical Specialist in Pediatric Neurology, he specialized in Muscular dystrophy, hypotonia and ADD.  Dr. Molofsky is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, Child Neurology.  A graduate of New York University Medical School, he completed his residency training in Pediatrics at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center and his fellowship in Pediatric Neurology at the Neurological Institute at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center.  Dr. Molofsky is an Associate Professor of Neurology and Pediatrics at Albert Einstein College of Medicine. 

Dr. Walter Molofsky is a fellow with the American Academy of Neurology and the Child Neurology Society. He is a member of the Pediatric Study Group of the American Association for the Study of Headaches. Dr. Molofsky has served as President of the Tri-State Child Neurology Society, a society which represents child neurologists practicing in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut. Before coming to The INN at Beth Israel Medical Center, Dr. Molofsky helped develop New Jersey's largest pediatric neurology clinical program as well as an associated fellowship training program in pediatric neurology.

Dr. Molofsky has special interest in the treatment of headaches, attention disorder/hyperactivity, epilepsy, peripheral nerve problems, cerebral palsy and developmental problems in infants and children. He is frequently invited to speak at professional and lay meetings on the topics of pediatric migraines, seizures, and neurobehavioral disorders in children.

Dr. Molofsky is among New York Magazine's "Best Doctors" as listed in the June 2011 edition of the magazine. The New York Magazine is excerpted from Castle Connolly's annual guidebook, "Top Doctors: New York Metro Area."
